and make recommendations for school consolidation which could be used
in the 2012-2013 school year.
The DDAC will be meeting on the following dates from 6:30pm –
8:30pm at the District Office located at 500 Acacia Avenue, San Bruno:

Tuesday, March 27
Tuesday, April 3
The adopted District criteria for school closure were adopted at a regular
meeting of the Governing Board of the San Bruno Park School District
on December 12, 2007. The SBPSD had convened a special citizens’
advisory committee to determine “whether a school should be closed
or not”. The advisory committee identified nine recommendations
for criteria to be applied to each school and used in the event of school
closure. The SBPSD adopted this set of criteria to be used as a reference
in the future. That future time has come upon the school district and
it is the job of this Committee to apply the following criteria for
school closure:
{Presented in no specific order of importance or preference}
• Assess the least disruptive option to students and the community
• Assess the operating costs of each site, excluding the cost
of staffing
• Assess the operational and prospective maintenance cost schedule
for each site
• Assess the potential for revenue generation of each site, if
closed
• Consider the level of safety in changing “walking distance”
• Assess the prospects of transportation for getting to a different
school site
• Determine the capacity of each school site to receive additional
levels of enrollment, in “bricks and mortar” buildings
• Determine the capacity of each school site to receive additional
levels of enrollment, in all buildings
• Determine the implications of reverting all students to their
“home school”
