Technology: A Demonstration School for the Integration of Curriculum & Technology and the Danford Center for Innovation

As we enter our third year as Demonstration School for the Integration of Curriculum and Technology we continue to explore methods to enhance instruction using aspects of software and hardware. The goal is to make the use of technology an integrated and seamless activity in each classroom to enhance both teaching and learning.

Danford Center for Innovation

Our school district has entered a partnership with the Krause Center for Innovation (KCI)at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills to establish the Danford Center for Innovation on the El Crystal campus. The Krause Center provides leadership and training for integrating technology throughout the curriculum to classroom teachers in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.

The Danford Center(DCI) for Innovation will serve educators in our district as well as those throughout the northern section of San Mateo County. The Center is named to honor the Danford Foundation which has donated over $200,000 to both El Crystal and Parkside to support the implementation of technology.

The DCI should be fully operational in January 2011.
