Bus Information

Students, 17 years and younger, pay $1.25 for each one-way trip. They also can purchase discount tokens or a discounted Monthly Pass. Those who want a Monthly Pass must apply for a Youth Clipper card, part of the regional fare system. (Some schools participate in a paper pass program for students in the free and reduced lunch program.)

Parents or guardians can download an application for a Clipper Youth card at and submit it via mail or bring it to the SamTrans office (1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos).

Water Testing

All of the water fountains have been tested for lead content throughout San Bruno Park School District. This had occurred early last year. Based on the consultants recommendations, fountains or pipes were replaced where needed. There were only two fountains that continued to have issues, which are at the Portola Elementary School site. The District has been working with Air & Water Sciences Environmental Consultants to resolve this issue. Currently, those fountains are not in use. Bottled water is being provided. A plan is in place to do repairs during the winter break. The link to review the final report from the consultant for each of the school sites can be found below.

San Bruno Park School District 7-11 Committee (2017)

The purpose of the 7-11 Committee is to advise the Board in developing District-wide policies and procedures governing the use or disposition of school buildings or space not needed for school purposes (Ed. Code, §§17387, 17388). A committee may be formed for multiple or single potential surplus property evaluations, but the committee must evaluate District-wide issues even if formed regarding a single site. 7-11 Committee Public Hearing Notice

Schools with Tomorrow Inside - Facilities Visioning Committee

Concurrent with the meetings of the 7-11 Committee have been meetings of a Facilities Visioning Committee comprised of 22 members also representing parents, teachers, city and community leaders. Meeting with the Superintendent and District architect, they have been deliberating on what features they feel are important to include in the design of Schools with Tomorrow Inside so that teaching and learning space is flexible, functional, well-lit, inviting, modern and meets seismic safety and Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines. There are no band aid repairs in Schools with Tomorrow Inside. The draft Vision for Schools was presented at the January 10th Board meeting.

San Bruno Education Foundation

Founded in 2005, the San Bruno Education Foundation (SBEF) is committed to helping children receive a great education. Our mission is to promote and support education in preschool through grade eight schools in San Bruno. The Foundation is a conduit providing resources to meet the educational needs of children in San Bruno schools. Our goal is to receive, raise, and distribute money for the improvements of San Bruno Schools.
