School Site Council

What is the School Site Council?
The School Site Council (SSC) provides parents direct involvement in setting priorities for our school. Working directly with teachers and the principal they generate goals for the Single Plan for Student Achievement, oversee the annual update of the School Safety Plan, administer the budget including funds for the library, and serve as a conduit of interests and concerns for the greater John Muir School community to the teachers and principal. Members serve for two consecutive years and are nominated and elected by their peers.
