Volunteer Information

Come and be a part of your child’s education at John Muir School by volunteering. There are numerous possibilities, some of which you can do at home.

  1. help weekly with small group or one on one instruction in the classroom
  2. help weekly with classroom prep work
  3. do prep work at home
  4. help in the computer lab
  5. after school crossing guards (15 minutes once a month)
  6. Thursday Messenger (30 minutes stuffing envelopes)
  7. assist with after school gardening
  8. assist with Art Attack lessons
  9. drive on field trips
  10. chaperone field trips
  11. lead a special class activity or project
  12. join the PTA and help or lead an event; ice cream social, Family Night Dinner, Kids’ Night Out, Pancake Breakfast, Parents’ Night Out, Talent Show, Beautification Work Days, school picnic
